DeWalt recently released five new wireless tools focused on trade, including the highly anticipated DeWalt 20V Max threaded rod cutter. The new cordless tools will be available in June and are designed for electrical, mechanical and plumbing professionals.
Each tool is designed to provide excellent ergonomic design, can complete a wide range of applications, and is compatible with the existing DeWalt 20V MAX system. An innovative onboard reporting system is also built into some tools to provide additional confidence in crimping and pressing applications.
Electricians, mechanics, and plumbing unions have found that the DeWalt 20V Max threaded rod cutter is a convenient upgrade to the wired option. The tool can quickly and cleanly cut a range of threaded rod sizes, such as 1/4-inch to 1/2-inch mild steel rods and 1/4-inch to 3/8-inch stainless steel rods. It provides a four-sided rotatable cutting die and eliminates fast-moving cutting blades or cutting wheels, which tend to get stuck when cutting or trimming threaded rods. In addition, the threaded rod cutter is part of DeWalt's Perform & Protect power tool series-designed to provide a high level of control, dust resistance or low vibration without sacrificing performance.
The DeWalt 20V Max U-type crimping machine is specially designed for electricians. It has DeWalt's crimp connection system, which is an intelligent vehicle-mounted reporting system that can report and print the date, time, force, and completed successful crimping cycles as well as tool calibration and service history. It also has a 270-degree rotating head, allowing the crimping machine to operate in tight spaces, while its forward/backward trigger switch provides one-handed control of the crimping operation.
DeWalt 20V Max Dieless Crimper has the same function as DeWalt 20V Max U-Type Died Crimper. It has Crimp Connect built-in reporting system, an LED panel, LED work lights, and should be used with the ability to crimp #8-750 MCM Cu/1000 MCM Al. In addition to these common features, the dieless crimping machine also provides a universal 4-pin design. Its 360-degree rotating head is designed to minimize user errors when crimping smaller cables. It is equipped with a forward/reverse trigger to provide one-handed control of the crimping operation.
This tool is intended for use by plumbing and mechanical craftsmen. DeWalt 20V Max Press Tool can press fittings from 1/2 inch to 4 inch copper and stainless steel pipes, and is compatible with a variety of compression fittings and accessories for different materials and applications. Its head can be rotated 320 degrees to maneuver in tight spaces. Like the crimping machine, the 20V Max Press Tool is also equipped with a crimp connection system, LED work lights, LED panels and shoulder straps.
Another new cutting machine dedicated to the electrical industry is DeWalt 20V Max Cable Cutter. It can cut up to 750 MCM copper/1000 MCM aluminum and a full range of copper and aluminum cables. The hardened steel cutting blade can be repaired and replaced by itself. It is equipped with bright LED work lights to help illuminate the cutting area. The built-in forward/backward switch provides fast and convenient operation.
