The mahapanchayat in Lucknow is organized by Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM), an umbrella group of approximately 40 farmers’ unions. Mahapanchayat was originally scheduled to be held on October 26, but it was postponed to November 22 due to bad weather conditions and the ongoing harvest season.

“The Kisan Mahapanchayat on November 22 will be of historical significance. This will prove to be the last nail in the anti-peasant government and the black three-law coffin. Now, the peasant movement in Purvanchal will also intensify,” Tikait said on Tuesday in Koo. Said in a post.

Since November last year, Rakesh Tikait has been taking the lead in protesting Delhi’s three agricultural laws. In a new attack, a BKU spokesperson accused the center of failing to express condolences to the protesting farmers who died in the ongoing movement.

"About 750 farmers were killed in the farm movement... The Indian government did not express condolences. The country's farmers believe that Prime Minister Modi may not be a'farmer' prime minister... and treat them (farmers) as separate from the country," Tiket Tell the news agency ANI on Sunday.

Last week, he said that farmers from all over India will not leave or go anywhere. Tikeit told the news agency: "If a government can run for five years, then this kind of people-supported protest will continue until the Indian government fails to pass laws ensuring MSP and repealing the three agricultural laws."

So far, the farmers' union and the central government have held 11 rounds of talks to reach consensus on three new agricultural laws. But the discussion is still inconclusive.

In September, the farmers’ union called for the establishment of Bharat Bandh to commemorate the first anniversary of the promulgation of these laws by the coalition government.

At the same time, the Bharatiya Janata Party (Haryana) stated on Monday that if SKM gets permission, it will march on parliament on November 26. Gurnam Singh Chaduni, president of BKU (Haryana State), said that the organization has passed the marching resolution and added that the final decision will be made by SKM.
