Using nuts and bolts is a resource in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7.

After completing the epic mission in the third week after traveling between Porta-potties, the third and final step of the Rick Sanchez mission line requires you to find and use nuts and bolts to upgrade weapons, a total of 3 times.

Fornite Season 7 Challenges will reward you with 30k XP, which will help you earn Battle Stars for the new Battle Pass skin.

Fortnite Chapter 2-Season 7 Battle Pass Trailer

This particular task sounds easy on paper, but if you don’t know the details, it may be a bit troublesome. Nuts and bolts are materials that can be found as trophies after destroying mechanical objects in the wild.

That being said, there are two NPCs selling nuts and bolts in exchange for gold, which you can find in the following locations:

One of them is Rick Sanchez, who is located on the top floor of the IO base east of the Weeping Forest. The second NPC is Marigold, you can find him in the building east of Lazy Lake, usually walking in the pool area or on the roof.

Between these two, it is difficult for us to try to talk to Rick Sanchez without being tripped by another player who knocked us down without hesitation, so we recommend going to Marigold's location instead.

Lazy Lake may be very busy, but it is the ideal place to complete the epic challenge of Season 7, because you will get nuts and bolts from marigolds and use them with three different weapons.

You will find a large number of guns nearby (don't worry about their rarity when picking them up, unless they are legendary) to complete this operation as quickly as possible and not attract much attention.

First, you have to talk to Marigold and buy nuts and bolts for 25 gold coins. If you need some gold coins, try to knock down some enemies (usually 8 pieces each) or destroy the furniture in houses and other places.

Then, once you have robbed the weapons that can be upgraded, you will notice an animated hammer icon on them. Open your inventory, select the weapon, then go to the crafting tab-crafting upgrades and setting.

From here, all you need to do is repeat the action a total of 3 times. Depending on the rarity of the weapon, you may need more than one set of nuts and bolts, so try not to get too far from the marigold.

After using the nut and bolt 3 times, the mission will be over and you can use the shiny new weapon to deal with any players who hinder you.
